Wheel Offset Explained, Five Dollars in it for you!
Okay! I've searched everywhere on google, and even the tirerack.com site is not clear.
So my choices for the ADR Sterling are:
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Size: 18"x8.5"
Off Set: +32mm
OR:
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Size: 18"x8.5"
Off Set: +38mm
Should I have one specific off set on the front and one on the rear? or does it really make a difference?
So, I'll gladly send ONE person Five whole dollars via paypal (don't spend it all in one place!) if they can EXPLAIN to me WHICH way to go.
I only want to buy these wheels ONCE. Furthermore, I realize they are not volks, etc...but, I don't see spending 3k on wheels period, buying a house is on my list!.
Thanks!!!

offset
I also have different offsets. I have 44 in front and 41 in the rear. You can do the 38 all arond but I wouldn't do the 32 all around. It's okay to do the 38 f and 32 r.
I believe our car comes with 50 stock...32 is a long way from there meaning that's pretty aggresive but I believe some members have done so with success.
Keep the $5

32 is a bit aggressive for the SC. you can do it, but you might rub a little bit. 38 is a very safe offset you go with, i don't think you can go wrong with that.
for the fornt and rear, if you are going with the same width anyway, i say ge the same offset, so that you can at least rotate the rims. yes you can get 38 for the front and then 32 for the rear. the rear will stick out a bit more, the car will look nicer (beleive me 6mm makes some differences), however i think the gain isn't really worth it. that's just me.
the only time i would get different offset front and back is when i get real staggered setup, meaning different wheel width front and back, for example if you get 8.5 +38 front and then 10 +44 back or something like that.
getting what rims is totally up to you, don't feel bad or anythig about it. people can only give you suggestions, afterall you are the one spending money.

I am running 18 x 8.5 w/ 38 offset in the front and sits very well with the fender. My car is still riding on stock height so I cant really comment on rubbing if the car is lowered, but it looks like it will fit fine.

Hey guys since we're on the subject I plan on getting some wheels as well
17x9 front/ 17x10 rear
or
17x8 front/ 17x9 rear
I tried searching, but unfortunately there isn't many 17" wheel fans unless they're Supra or Is300 wheels!
anyways...what offsets would you recommend for these wheels sizes?...I want the wheel to be flush with the fender if not sticking out just a little. I'm planning to possibly get some Te-37 wheels or Regamaster EVO's...Thanks everyone!
