I may put in some 245/40/17 tires up front on my SC400, which is lowered with Eibach springs.

Does anyone know if this setup would rub? I currently have 235/45/17 tires up front and they ride just okay.

Jon.... I run 245/40/18 in my front without issues... none whatsover... My car is not yet lowered but I have seen your desired setup on lowered SC's and have not heard of issues.
BTW - The 245 helps so much with the ride quality...

That's a relatively small rim (relative to what the SC's wheel well can accomodate) so you won't have any issues at all unless you try something idiotic like slamming it to the ground, even then 17's are too small to rub. The stock 18-inch SC430 wheels even look small.

I know. I wish I could afford bigger rims.

But again, with the amount of driving I am doing (in the downtown area), I think the 17 inchers are enough for my needs for now. My wallet's going to thank me for it.
