Question Wire Wheels

i am trying to fit wire wheels on my '99 lx470.

i really wanted to use knock-offs as it gets much more of the spokes to show, but having learned the uniqueness of the land cruisers 5x150 pattern, no-one on the market seems to make an adaptor for this vehicle.

so i needed some general direction...

meaning are adaptors the only way to fit knock-offs?

if so, is there a metal-worker / machinist somewhere who would be willing to do this custom work of making an adaptor from a block of metal?

thanks

please don't put wires on a Lex man!!! If you can afford the Lex don't settle for cheap looking knock-offs, I know that ride would look hot on some big GIO's. That's just my opinion.

Default Knock offs

I think by "knock offs" in this case he means a single large bolt in the middle like brittish cars used to have. There probably isn't much of a market for 5 x 150 wire wheels, thats why your having trouble finding them. In fact 5 x 150 is kinda tough in any kind of wheel, but not impossible.

Doesn't the LX use a 6-lug pattern?

@mmcustom

i appreciate your response, but sorry, wire wheels are what i grew up to love. just the opinion of me personally though. i am unsure if you know what knock-offs mean in the world of wire wheels, but Brandon is right, knock-offs refer to an adaptor used to hold on a wire wheel tightened by a knock-off cap, versus your bolt-on wheels tightened with bolts.

@squarehat

i am not sure for the newer LX models, but i own a '99 and it uses a 5 lug. the bolt pattern is 5 x 150 and the offset is +35.

i am pretty sure at this point that in order to get wire wheels, i would have to find a machinist to custom make me an adaptor, or i can consider spacers, but i am unsure of what machine shop to go to, and am also unsure as to how spacers work
