Suspension Upgrade/Replace Options for 2008 GS350 RWD
Ok, so my rear two shocks need to be replaced and my front boots are torn. So in the bare minimum, I will need to replace the rear two shocks but I am contemplating replacing/upgrading all four corners.
Here are my parameters
- I would like a mild drop of around 1"
- I want a ride feel as close to stock
- I'll be rolling on my stock 18" until my summer tires are ready to be replaced
- I will not be racing/tracking my car
- When in doubt, comfort over performance
So after doing my research, here's what I came up so far
1. stock springs/ KYB struts - no drop, OEM ride, $0 + $380
2. tanabe NF210 springs/KYB struts - mild drop, OEM ride, $238 + $380
3. tanabe NF210 springs/***recommend me aftermarket struts - mild drop, more performance ride, $238 + ???
4. megan EZ street coilovers - ??? - $700
5. BC racing coilovers - ??? - $1000
6. tein CS coilovers - ??? - $1600
My sweet spot for pricing would be under $700, so i am leaning towards the tanabe springs and KYB shocks, but I've heard folks say that the KYBs might not be a good match for lowering springs. Any thoughts on this? Also, the coilovers best suited to my needs seem to be the ez streets, but any other input would be greatly appreciated.

For me, I favor the BCR's for they're the best bang for your buck.
I've read if you were to go Megan you should upgrade to the next step up from the EZ street coilovers..... so you'll be spending the same amount of money anyways.
Just remember that these cars weren't MSRP'd cheap, so don't expect to spend as much as you would on a lower tier car for suspension
