Installed "F Sport" Springs on my 08 GS460.
I installed F Sport Springs on my 08 GS460. Still have the stock wheels. Will eventlually get 20's but just spent $1K on Michelin Sport Pilots so i will run with stock wheels until the pilots need to be replaced. I am kinda disappointed in how much the rear lowered. Wanted more of an even look. Wanted to post some pics and see what the forum thinks. I may change to Tanabe Springs (NF210). I have seen lowered GSs with the Tanabe springs and they seem to have a more lowered stance. Thoughts?

I was also disappointed in the drop I got with mine. That's why they're sitting in a box in my garage now. They will drop a little more after a while, but not much. I also didn't appreciate the extra stiffness, especially with such a small drop.

The tanabe nf210 provide about the same drop but more comfortable ride. Only 5% stiffer spring rate for the nf210s. The f sports are 20% stiffer. Most of the posts I've seen of people installing the f sports, they aren't happy with either the drop or the ride...or both. I'm happy with my 210s, and would not want it any stiffer.

Springs vs. Coils
Not sure if I agree that springs are a waste of money. I'm sure adjustable coils are great. If you get a set and get them adjusted where you want them and never adjust them again why wouldn't you spend 1/4 of that price if you can find the springs that do the same thing.
Air Ride is entirely different. You can adjust your height immediately. Have it on my 63 Impala Convertible. Love being able to adjust on the fly.
But, coils, unless you are adjusting them from time to time, then I am not sure it's not a waste of money to pay four times the price of what you can get with the right springs. Just my thoughts.

Springs don't drop enought to matter! I guess I just like having the choice, when I had coils and was traveling out of town I would bring my car back to stock and when I was in town I would bring it back to slammed!

If you are raising and lowering your car, coils are the way to go if you're not going with air. I only wanted to close the fender gap so I went with springs. Spent about $400. Wanted to be as low as possible without affecting the ride quality too much and not getting stuck on speed bumps. And not creating uneven wear on my tires. Sport Pilots cost too much and don't last very long anyway.
I started the thread because I didn't get as low as I wanted with the F Sports in the rear if my car.
Was hoping to get some input on some other springs that would give me a lower stance.
If I find a set the F Sports go on the market. Want my car to sit right on top of the tires. If that look can only be attained with adjustable coils, I'll go that route.
Please advise.

If I'm not mistaking the lowest springs that I heard they make r the road magnets, they actually drop enough to meet tires. If I'm not mistaking they drop ur car about 2 inches. The reason I advice to get coils it's cuz I wish someone should had told me before it wasted my time redoing my suspension over and over! Now I got air that should tell something, lol

I'll check out Road Magnets. Air certainly the way to go however , not sure what year GS you have as I'm using the mobile app, not sure about going with air on my 08 GS460. It has the adjustable suspension and not sure I'm ready to start experimenting with all that.
Thanks for the tip.
