BC Racing Coilovers in & some extra goodies!(PICS intensive)
So now that I'm riding fairly low I needed to upgrade to higher spring rates 12k F and 10k R however I think a car this heavy should do a 14k F and 10k R. Anyways here are the BC Racing coilovers in all their glory fresh out the box!
Here's my installer Mike posing with these beauties!
Installation was very straightforward unlike the Tanabe Sustec's I had where they used your rear OEM tophat and you would need to decompress the spring which is dangerous because it could shoot out when it's being released. The top black part is the OEM top hat. The Tanabe's were a complicated design utilizing a helper spring in conjunction with the main spring. However look how much shorter that spring is compared to the BC's. You risk bottoming out more easily. I will say however the Tanabe Sustec were much more comfortable and more daily driver friendly if you're not going to ride extremely low.
Mike taking off the rears.
It's a little tough having to take out suspension with only a pair of hands..so why not 2 pairs of hands! Here's Charlie the owner of the D-Imports who so generously let us use his shop!
BC's are in!
BC coilovers, F-Sport Swaybars, custom painted brake calipers and 10mm spacer in sight.
Mike doing work!
All installed and parked next to Mike's car.

Yin and Yang
If you look closely you can see my grill missing..
Well that's on purpose. If you remember my last mod I decided to take some modding into my own hands and spray my chrome trimming directly on the car. I thought I prepped enough but it certainly wasn't. If you DO use this method I highly recommend masking the whole front half of the car windshield and all. Or else you'll find yourself overspray. Plus it ended up chipping pretty badly on the freeway.
My plan was to sand it all down, spray it again, and then clearbra it for protection. Mike was hesitant at first but gave it a shot. After letting it dry overnight at his own house he tried to clearbra it but the material was just too delicate, the clearbra pulled some paint right off. He warned me that might happen but I was stubborn. However he knew exactly what I was envisioning and had a color wrap that was exactly what I was looking for. Mike is the best wrapper I know after seeing him wrap everything from seats, headlight housing and then eventually his car, so I trusted his judgment. We spent the next day at HIS house to finish my project.
Doing work on the window trim.
The work was painstakingly long but he wanted to do it right, and doing it right takes time.
Right now it's about nighttime and he's even holding out dinner with his wife to put on the final touches! If that's not dedication I don't know what is.
ALL DONE...now it's picture whoring time.
Even wrapped the door handles as well!
Although he didn't know it, but the color he picked was an EXACT match for my wheels. Anthracite!! LOL he is good...
Well that's all! Just wanted to say thanks to CircuitMS for providing the coilovers, Charlie at D-Imports for lending us his shop, and Mike for being unbelievably patient and sharing the same passion in making things look PERFECT. He's the best wrapper I know and save yourself the headache of any spraying and just go straight to wrapping. I might end up wrapping my whole front hood in gloss black to remove all the overspray instead of spraying it and worry about rock chips again. Anything you got in mind just talk to him and he can probably do it. Here's just a sample of his work! Be on the look out because he's going to be re-wrapping his car again! You can find him here and check out some of his work
Well I just got permission to post up his # so if you need anything call or text him at (909) 438-1336 and just tell him Mesca from clublexus sent you. He'll take care of ya.
Thanks for looking CL fam!

We most definitely did!
Thanks!
Panda man is that you? haha
We're both from Socal OC/Riverside County
Haha his car is a lot more extreme than mine that's forsure, he's got cupkit whereas I'm strictly static.
Thanks again!
Well you can see yourself how low I am, but for a reference look at the shock body when I put them in and he might've lowered it an inch from there? But I feel like these coilovers could go A LOT lower if they wanted to, but I'm not looking for headaches. Ask CircuitMS and they'll give you a more definite answer!
