Default jsut installed the suspension...

So a few hours later, I was off to test my new JIC suspension unit (Sf-1, non adjustable), on my 00 GS3. It rides pretty smooth on flat surfaces, not that much road noise. I have it adjusted about 2" lower than stock, Im still runnning my stock 16's with the stock rubber. On a scale from 1-10 of softness(1 being the softness) it's about 4. You definetly can feel the road more, but with any lowered vehicle it's expected. Overall, the ride quality is pretty good, its about what I imagined. Freeway driving is pretty good, not that much road noise. City driving is about the same. The only thing I have to compare it with is the GAB 16 way adjustable coilover unit.(Had that on my old car), which I never adjusted!!!, so thats why I went with non adjustable. The JIS unit rides better than the GAB's that I used to have. But then Again I used to have a Honda, so I cant really compare the two.
The one thing that I do not like about the JIS unit is that there are no ABS breakline bracket's mounted on the strut, therefore, I had to attached the ABS cable to the unit, so it doesnt "flop" around. Also, If you raise the car the highest you can by hand, its still lower than stock. The JIC unit is a lower unit in general. The upper pillar mounts are awesome! very well crafted with adjustable camber settings. When going over speed bumps you can hear the rear gas shocks working, at first I didnt like it, but now I think it's kind of cool. Overall Im am satisfied, The price of this particular unit retails for about 1450.00, but with a little hard work you may be able to get it cheaper. I would recommend them to all who just like to cruise!

thanks

Sounds like a good suspension. Put up some pics so we can see the drop. What wheels are you planning to purchase?

Congratz with going against the flow and not pick a freakin' Tein. (Not that I have anything against Tein, but we definitely need to shake up the coilovers market more with other products!)

Nice write-up.
