Default Another brake mod thread

Got around to coating my front and rear calipers. As you know the rears don't have a face plate. I have seen these caliper covers made by a co called MGP. Don't really like them but I had an idea. I called them up and they made up a set for me in gloss black and plain fronts. When I got them I noticed the clips are made out is spring steel and the tab on the cover part is welded to the plate, nice construction actually. I applied a decal to match the front and here is the result. Wheel is also spaced out 15 mm.

You have to look hard to see its a cover. For some reason I can't post more than one pic.

Did you put a clear coat over top of the decal after applying? Just curious as I have decals showing up in the mail in the next week or so...

No I did not. Did the G2 two stage about 3 months ago. They get baked on. Just make sure the surface is clean.

Actually these things are well made. Everything is welded with high carbon steel with the clips made from spring steel. They don't interfere with brake action. To each their own.
