Default PosiQuiet vs. Akebono

It's finally time for me to get new front rotors and pads. I plan on getting the Centric High Carbon rotors and am torn between the Centric PosiQuiet pads and the Akebono Pro-Act Ultra Premium pads. Obviously, I'm looking for low dust and long life. Has anybody used both and prefer one over the other?
Any insight will be greatly appreciated??

Hi! I'm currently using Akebono part# Act1178 on my 2014 fsport and I completely got rid of the break dust.

Back when I had my 2is I used the two brands to replace my front brakes. I found that the akebono had better initial bite when braking compared to the posiquiet brand.the two brands were great on brake dust with very little if any on my rims.

Sorry if I am hijacking this thread, but how do these compare to OEM or Stoptech's offerings. I need brakes soon and brake dusting I'll deal with it using wheel coatings. I just want to stop better.

Akebono all day.

I've had 'both' on my G35 and Posi-quiet pads (contrary to the name) squeaked all the time.

Default Act118 vs asp118 Gs350 fsport

Hey everyone. I have gone through 3 sets of act118 front pads withing 2 months mainly for high squealing noise when coming to a stop after about 300-500 miles. They are being warranted out. I have new fsport rotors from lexus but pads squeal. Even after resurface the rotors. Spoke to akebonos support and they are sending me asp118. Has anyone had this type of issues. Think should be ok with asp's

I am running the ASP’s, I’ve been running them for about 4,000 miles and I have 0 squeaks or any other problems.

I can't fault the Akebono's. Not a hint of squeal, not much dust (esp compared to stock) and comes with shims.
