Default RSR DOWNS Question?

Hey CL how everyone doing??

So i finally decided to do some light mods to the IS 350 and purchased a set of RSR downs springs for my AWD. So i know the drop on the RSR is fairly moderate which is what i was looking for.

Anyone running this settup installed cambers kits? I know that they only make the rear arms ( i think SPC makes them) but with the RSR down would it be needed?

I know they make F sport springs which is slightly sits higher then the RSR down so i figured i really wouldn;t need them but any feedback would be awesome.

Thanks

Also anyone can refer a good shop to install in the NJ area?

I have the downs on my AWD and couldn't be happier. The drop is as advertised and I have no camber kits and the alignment came in just under spec.

The RSR springs follow the negative factory rake so yes the rear sits a little lower than the front. It doesn't bother me at all

Here is a side picture with the RSR down springs. For a set of springs i could not be happier with the ride.

I have a 2016 is350 with RSR downs and the back does sit slower than the front while still on the stock f-sport rims. The gap in the front really bothers me... unless I fork out some money for 19's, there will be gap in the front

I had rsr down springs on my 2014 is250 for over a year and a half now. Recently got my tires changed and now I'm experiencing tire rub on rear fender.. not sure if my new tires are somehow wider even though it's the same size as my previous tires. Just different brand. Or if my shocks are giving out. Either way, getting rsr blacki coilovers installed tomorrow.

blown shocks won't change ride height too much.

most likely the tire is slightly wider/taller. tire sizes (width, sidewall height, wear rating) vary from brand to brand.

I just got the coilovers put on really low and tires still rubbing. Is there a specific offset I need to get my 19x9.5 tucked into the rear fender without negative camber/tire rubbing? (Just want my tire to appear like its tucked into fender, not actually tucked in. And wheel aligned perfectly straight) this is a headache 😣

you cant change your wheel offsets to have more positive offsets unfortunately...
if your rears are 19x9.5 with a conservative offset (+40 or greater) you should be able to fit a 255 tire back there no problem. no rubbing, very little camber, if any (-0.5 to -1.0)

The new set of wheels I ordered is 19x9.5 +48. Hopefully that works out for the rear. Might stay with the 265/30/19. Depends how it fits.

19x9.5+48 and 265/30/19 with slight camber (around -1) will fit with minimal to no rubbing

Yes you will. All you need is a Phillips screw driver. Pretty easy to do. I need to adjust my headlights once again going from springs to coilovers.
