Why does it always have to be so hard????(Brakes issue)
I have learned to stop trying to do anything mechanical to my car at all because if something can go wrong it does, for me anyways.
So I took on the 'huge' job of swapping out my front brake pads and of course even this goes wrong.
So the pad on the outside of the rotor came off and the new one installed perfectly , easy as pie, the inside one came off fine but was next to impossible to get back on, i managed to get it on but it is on soooooo tight that it doesnt have any play at all, ive taken it out many times and put it back in ,, took out the clips and cleaned the area thoroughly and nothing works ,,,they almost need to be hammered in , i dont ****ing get it.
As far as I can tell the pad should have some kind of play so it doesnt get stuck and so the springs can keep the pad from sitting on the rotor, any ideas before i throw money at my mechanic to fix it????
And to top it off two of my lug's broke off while removing my wheel.

1WILLY1, when changing brake pads, it is normal to have difficulties while installing new brake pads. This is due to difference in thickness of new brake pad compared to the used/old one. This difference is from wear and is taken up by piston sliding towards rotor as brake pads wear. Pistons needs to be compressed back into brake caliper cylinders by C-clamp(or equivalent) for one to install new brake pads.
There are many videos and written tutorials online on how to change brake pads. Take a look at them and give it another try!

thanks man^^^^
yes I did research and i do know that i need to compress the pistons to get the caliper back over the pads, but the problem im having is the actual pad needs to be almost hammered in, and once its in it has no play at all , they are stuck there, i migh ttry once more this morning but if not im off to the mechanics
thanks
