Default What spring rate do I need (BCR)??

Here's the info:

Rolling a set of Wedssport SA55BBM on Hancook V12s
19x9 (+38) (F) 245-35-19
19x10 (+40) (R) 275-35-19.
Factory suspension.

I get occastional scrub (rear) when I'm alone in the car. The problem is when I'm carring passengers, especially in the rear seats. The rear scrubs on almost any little bump. I'm looking at a new BCR coilover setup but unsure of what spring rate to get. My thought are the standard setup 10k/12k springs. Here's what I want to accomplish in order of presidence:

NOTE: Looking for a european lowered look, not slammed with tires inside fender wells. Tire width and rim offset pretty much will not allow tucking of the tires.
1: Rear ride hight about 1-1/2 to 2 finger gap with no scrub when carring 4 people. This is about stock hieght with the current wheel/tire size configuration.
2: Front ride height lowered to about same as rear with no fender scrub when braking/turning.
3: Ride comfort as close to stock as possible. I don't track this car (have RX-8 for that), but I would like to tighten up the body roll/handling when driving aggressively.

Recommendations?? Pros and Cons??

Thanks

What suspension are you riding on now? 12k/10k are good for that ride height you are describing, I am at a similar height where it's not slammed, but lowered with space. I have slight tire tuck in F and R on 18s, and with 12k/10k properly setup with preload, I haven't had any issues carrying 4 ppl with the damping turned firmer.

If I had to re-do my BCR purchase, I would have opted for 14k and 10k. When I do corner aggressively, it just still seems to not be enough for my liking. I currently have 12k / 8k and I DD it like this. No complaints though...the BCRs are top notch!

i think your tire size is wrong to eliminate rubbing u should run
225-35-19 or 235-35-19 front
265-30-19 back

Great info. Pretty sure these are the coilovers I will be going with.

alternatively, 245/30-19 + 275/30-19 should reduce your fender liner-tire clearance issues, though i would run the sizes 7PANGET recommends.

If I was tuck lowering (where the wheel tuck behind the fender after lowering) the car yes....I do have the wrong tire. But as I stated, I will not be tucking or slamming the car and I absolutely hate the look of tiny tires strected on a rims! If I had wanted to tuck or slam the car I would have bought 8"(f) and 9"9(r) and run 225 and 265. Then the fender tuck would work perfect without stretching the tires.

Whether the wheels are tucked, slammed, skateboarded or flush....2 inches of suspension travel is 2 inches of suspension travel before you scrub/bottom out. The question should have been:

1)what setup are you running (spring rates)
2) how much suspension travel do you have before you scrub/bottom out... (unloaded)
___a) Do you scrub under normal urban diving conditions?
___b) Damper setting?
3) how much suspension travel do you have before you scrub/bottom out... (with 2/3 passengers)
___a) Do you scrub under normal urban diving conditions?
___b) Damper setting?

if you really think tire size doesn't matter, here's something to think about.

OEM 18 vs. +1 tire sizing (tire size - tire diameter)

front:
225/40-18 - 25.08"
225/35-19 - 25.20"
245/30-19 - 24.78"
245/35-19 - 25.75" < what you're running

rear:
255/40-18 - 26.03"
255/35-19 - 26.02"
275/30-19 - 25.49"
245/35-19 - 26.57" < what you're running

again, you're running the wrong tire sizes, and that's why you've got clearance issues. taking a poll of spring rates won't help you if you're set on running these tires, since you'll need coilovers w/ a significantly-higher spring rate than what most people would run to prevent suspension travel (read: your tires coming up and rubbing against the fender liner).

alternatively, you can just rip out the fender liners altogether and not deal with the rubbing issue.

I'm running 12k/10k and wish i would have gone 14k/10k or even 16k/12k. Slammed I got the comment "i've never seen a slammed car bounce around so much" and I was rubbing hard over every bump, its expected but i've just raised it up and rides good as gold
