Question Front and Rear brake pads - time to replace?

I got 57k on my 2006 IS250 and time to replace front brake pads (making noices). I am not sure if it makes sense to replace rear pads too at this time. Is taking rear wheels off and actually looking at them the only way to tell if rear ones need replacement.
Thanks!

Just check the rear pads to make sure they are not worn. You do not need to replace all 4 pads at once. Front pads takes more of a beating than rear pads and they do not wear evenly in my experience.
