Default In a STB Bind Here

First off take a quick look at page 5 of this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...ilovers-5.html

When I had my BC coils installed, I had my Aristo STB taken off during the installation. Fast forward to now and I really want to put it back on so I tried it yesterday. The pics below will show you the bind that I'm in. Even with the thin metal plate removed, the nuts still do not cover the bolt when I tighten it. It seems snug but I don't think its tight enough for me. I would like to keep this STB since its a one piece rigid type bar. I may have to look into another bar like Tein or Cusco just to name a few but I must be sure that the two bases where it touches the frame are thinner than the what I have now with my current STB.

Yeah, you def need more threads engaged. I have not seen BCs in person but you should be able to remove the bolts from the top hats and replace with longer bolts.

I did mention about this before. But all said it was fine. Now look what happened. Some people recommend using the "OEM's Top Hats", that's if it will if with your coilover.

Is that even possible? If so then I rather explore that option. I'll have to pm CMS to see if longer bolts are available.

Exactly why I linked it in this thread; heck I even commented in it. But it was said that simply removing the top rings then you can fit the STB on. Looks like this is not the case; well at least with my STB.

that sucks.... when i had my OEM shocks/struts i had the "spacer" installed and my carson replica sb installed with plenty of space....now with my megans i can only fit the SB without the spacers. i have a little room but not enough for the OEM nuts,so im gonna look for some thinner ones so i can reinstall them....my CF engine cover is slightly rubbing with my bad motor mounts

on topic though,i dont know if you can install longer studs but unless your uninstalling/reinstalling them yourself guys the labor wouldnt really justify the cost to do this...

With smaller sized bolts on the BC's and the thicker base of my STB, the two literally will not work together. Well I guess I'll be putting this up for sale and look to get another STB. Thanks for the suggestions fellas.

Well, if you decide to sell it shoot me a picture and I'll probably take it.
