Default New coilovers and wheels, what else to replace?

Ive had a bone stock 98 GS300 for almost 7 years and it currently has 156K miles. I just purchased Megan LP Coilovers and 19" wheels however right now as stock the suspension sucks. I get squeaking going over speed bumps, vibrations on the freeway around 60-70mph and Ive had a balance and alignment which does not correct the problems.

I do want to lower the car with a slight wheel tuck but when the coilovers and wheels get installed this would be a good time to replace other parts.

Ive heard I need to replace some bushings, maybe some arms, but Im not sure what brand and which ones. I heard polyurethane bushings make noise too. What should I replace and what brand to go with?

You can Replace the Control Arms (Lower Control Arm, Caster Arm, Upper Control Arm) with Full Arms, or replace just the bushings. If you replace just the Bushings (with Aftermarket Polyurethane Bushings) The Lower Control Arm Bushings have been said to cause Squeaking if they are not greased properly. I am not sure if the Poly Upper Control Arm Bushings cause Squeaking or not. I have heard that the Caster Arm (Also known as the Lower Control Arm #2, or Trailing Arm) Poly Bushings do not cause squeaking because they do not have very much movement within the Control Arm.

You should also look at Replacing the Lower Ball Joints, and the Inner and Outer Tie Rods. I guess the Inner Tie Rods are less likely to fail but any given part will fail after a given amount of time. There are tests you can perform to check whether or not the for mentioned parts need replacement, I'm sure if you search you can find out more information about that.

I am personally going to replace the Ball Joints, Outer Tie Rods, and the Caster Arms on my Car. I was going to replace just the Caster Arm Bushing on my Car but I ordered Bushings and I was told that they will not fit on my 98 GS. So here is another thing to take note of: The Caster Arms and Bushings are different between the 98-00 and 01+ Models on the GS. The 01+ Models came stock with Beefier Caster Arms and Bushings. So one option is to upgrade the whole arm on your 98 to a 01+ Caster Arm with the Bushings. Of course you could just find 98-00 Caster Arm Bushings which do exist (Carson and Daizen make them), I ordered my Bushings from Sewell and I guess the Bushings that Sewell Sells are only for the 01+ Models.

Sorry if I gave you a lot to think about, just trying to help out since I am in the same place trying to update my suspensions and get everything tight again.

lower ball joints go out in our cars, and depending on how low you go you might need adjustable tow arms. what wheels did you get josh?

Funny you mention the ball joints because a couple years ago my front passanger side broke and the car hit the ground doing about 15mph. What a mess
