2 BRAND NEW struts DEFECTIVE?!? LEXUS TECHS PLEASE CHIME IN!
I need some opinions here. I ordered 4 new struts for my 99 GS3. After installing them the front passenger strut failed within a few days, the oil leaked out and it was making a horrible rattling noise. Now after i got that one replaced under warranty, two weeks later the REAR passenger side failed now. So this means both struts failed on the passenger side. Im starting to think the mechanic could have done something wrong but im not sure, what are the odds of 2 brand new OEM from the dealer struts failed like this on the SAME side. If anyone has any opinions on what could have happened please let me know, I appreciate it, thanks CL!

any other opinions? can something a mechanic does cause the struts to fail prematurely. Or is it something with the passenger side because its very odd they both fail on the same side like that

.
Well I bought them from oemlexusparts.com which is a lexus dealer out in colorado. I doubt they would sell me used parts and they definitely appeared to be brand new or my mechanic would have said something. I'm jus trying to figure out if its possible that the mechanic did something wrong or that I just have the worst luck ever and got 2 brand new struts that were defective

they are OEM purchased from the dealer but it says "KYB Toyota" so I guess KYB made them for Toyota. I know the shock is defective the suspension was checked many times. and from what I know there is nothing that can cause both the front and rear passenger struts to blow except them being defective or hitting a bad hole correct?
