Attention: All TRD Sway Bar Owners
I was doing my Supra TT front brake upgrade today when I noticed that the link that connects the front sway bar from the end of the sway bar to the A-arm of the car was broken. So now its off to the dealer to see what this little part will set me back. The mechanic that helped me out said that this link probably broke because of the additional force that was exerted on it during hard cornering. That explains the squeeking sound I heard during hard cornering. I atteched a picture below to show all you guys what I'm talkin about (the picture was taken from a side view):

Its part of the stock suspension. You can kinda see where the sway bar bolts onto this stock suspension link. If you or any of the other TRD sway bar owners hear a sound from the front suspension, this could be the reason. The passanger side link is completely fine. I'm gonna go to the dealer tomorrow and see about the part and the install process.

the TOM's 6 peice links are replacement for links like this, yet only for the BACK! i wonder if it would be possible to have a stronger link made? maybe you should look into that before gettinga crazy price from the dealer, since this will eventually break again. Plus it probobly flexes during handling, decresing the efficiancy of the sway bar. Just some thoughts

FYI -
I also had broken sway bar linkage but it was on the rear sway. The TRD sways are a lot beefier/stiffer than stock, it is unfortunate that TRD did not make stronger links to replace the pencil thin stock links. Mine broke at the welded end and I had it promptly replaced by the dealer under warranty. I suggest everyone with TRD sways check your front and rear linkages as they may be broken. On the rear linkage, try and move it with your hand to make sure it is not just hanging freely in the lower control arm like mine.
I do not believe TOM's makes links for the sway bars. They only have the 6 piece brace kit. Does anyone know who might make performance aftermarket sway bar links which fit our GS's?

MRGS400nSoCali and GSMan:
Did either of you notice anything different about car response when your sway bar linkage was broken (pulling, didn't turn well, etc)?
MRGS400 from your description is sounded like you may have just (luckily) stumbled across yours - did anything give it away?
Since I don't often get a chance to visually inspect my GS underneath, I thought it would be good to keep in mind what the symptoms might be.
Thanks in advance!

In my situation, I just happened to stumble across the broken sway bar linkage trying to troubleshoot a suspension creak. I have since replaced the broken link and I still have the creak but to a lesser degree. The links are not hard to check as you can see and touch them since they are close to the tires.
