Springs-wheel-Upper Control Arm question
Tried searching but didn't find what I was looking for. This seems like a rather basic question so maybe someone will know.
Stock suspension with 17x8 wheel and 245/45r17 tires gives me one finger of clearance between the uppercontrol arm's crown nut and the tire.
If I put some lowering spring's on, say Tanabe NF210s, would that move the crown nut closer to the tire?
This is a pic of the crown nut with the old tires on, there was a couple finger gap at that time.
Thanks for the help.

Lowering does not affect your distance to that nut. The clearance stays the same. The only real way to get too close to that nut would be to excessively increase your overall tire diameter. When using any of the standard 20" tire/rim choices, it's still not going to rub. You also might hit if the wheel offset is wrong, but then you would be using rims not designed for the GS in the first place.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I will be putting 19 inch wheels on soon and have other projects that will take priority over the springs ... but I know the gap will be staring at me every time I walk out to the car.
