Will springs blow the stock shocks over time?
Will putting lowering springs eventually blow out the stock shocks? I know this was a problem on my honda, but how will the isx50 stock shocks hold up??

As long you do not cut your springs shorter your shocks should last a decent amount of time. I knew a guy who had some Eibachs installed onto his stock struts (was not a lex but a maxima) and it lasted him around 5 years. Then again i also knew a guy who cut his springs and well yeah you get the picture.

Gernby; aren't you gald you don't still own that Honda? What kind of shocks/struts are you buying to have an issue with lowering springs? Unless you are going to a 20% rate increase or more, there should be no problems. Coil over springs on a stock strut are a whole 'nother issue.
Markymark1 (I won't ask how/why you have that name): Just driving the car will eventually wear out the shocks. Unless you are putting Auto-X spring rates on there you should be just fine. I'd worrry more about pot holes and local conditions before spring rates on generic lowering springs. Most are progressive rates anyway (eibach, etc.). Enjoy the looks.
I'd just check the spring rate and compare it to the stock rate if you are really worried about it.

I believe the answer is Yes. I have been running F-sport springs with stock shocks for about a year. It sounds like one of my shocks has started leaking or has blown out. My car doesn't feel buttoned down anymore, either. I wouldn't use this config again.
