Default Control arm For 1995 SC400

I am having trouble locating the correct control arm for my 1995 SC400. It is not an emergency but needs to be replaced. A few shops have tried but the wrong part comes in. Any suggestions on where to find a replacement?

You can consider a Supra lower control arms. Here is the link to the discussion of them fitting in the SC300 and SC400 I've invested in a pair and are sitting on my garage floor, waiting.

DarlaMG, is it your front suspension lower control arms that need replacing?

I would recommend buying them as a set even if you only install one for now. The ball joints on our control arms are non-serviceable by design so having a matched replacement set if you have never changed either of them out before is a good idea.

As Tallyhoe said above, the go-to replacement part that we commonly use for 1992-2000 SC300's are the 1993-1995 Toyota Supra Front Lower Control Arm sets. They are exactly the same as what you have on your Lexus as factory original only the rubber formulation it comes with in the bushings are superior to the Lexus equivalent. There are NO modifications required. They bolt in to your car's suspension just like the original part and were basically designed for it.

The 1993-2002 Toyota Supra shares quite a lot of chassis design with the SC300/SC400/Soarer because it was based on and developed FROM our Lexus chassis. As such many parts (not all but many) are direct bolt-on from the Supra MKIV parts bin.

The 1993-1995 Toyota Supra MKIV front lower control arms are:

RH Side -- Toyota P/N 48068-14080
LH Side -- Toyota P/N 48069-14080

Go to McGeorge Toyota's online parts ordering site and you will find them available there for just under $500 each side.

The Supra 1996-1998+ front lower control arms are much more expensive being made of aluminum and are up there with the cost of the OEM Lexus SC late model aluminum front lower control arms.

.....

SC300/SC400 front UPPER control arms can also be replaced with 1993-1995 Supra MKIV equivalent parts as direct bolt in.

However the SC300/SC400 REAR control arms (both upper and lower rear) are of a different shape and can only be replaced with Lexus OEM parts.

....

Of course aftermarket control arms intended for very modified SC suspension configurations are also available but you don't need to get into any of that for a standard replacement part job.

The 93-95 Supra MKIV Front LCAs will do the trick for the least amount of money in new OEM parts and will have the side benefit of giving you a slightly better factory bushing formulation over stock.
