Trany rumble
Im driving in heavy wet snow on the highway other day and I start to hear a low rumbel. I get off the highway and it goes away. Then I stop to get gas. I put the car in reverse and I hear this bad rumbling sound and shaking when backing up (car is still hot). It goes away when in foward. Now its gone completly. Its not snow around the wheels, when In reverse, I rev and it rumbles... Do I need trainy fluid changed?

Bit, it's not TRAC (wifey's 99 doesn't have it).
We just had several inches of wet snow earlier this week and I drove wifey's RX (99,AWD with LSD) since the GS does not enjoy such conditions. I occasionally heard some low rumble which sounds similar to your description. Since it wasn't there before, nor has occured since, I concluded it was snow buildup sonewhere, probably in the wheel wells, rubbing on the tires some of the time.
