Default Shock/Strut Differences

Are there any differences between brands of shocks/struts? I'm looking at Tokico and KYB. Does performance/comfort depend on the shocks? Also, what about quality?

From everything I've heard from the guys on here the tokico blues are the best hands down. Thats what I just purchased and are awaiting install

I think the KYB's are pretty comparable and maybe a little bit cheaper I think on ebay

i have tokico/eibach combo and they feel only marginally stiffer then stock. if i had a choice i would get tokico illumina shocks. they are more money but they are also adjustible.

if you are going for performance you will be disappointed in tokico or KYB. both are way too soft. almost stock. if you want a stiffer sportier ride go for coilovers. you can get meganracing ones. definitely not the best but people have pretty good experience with them, they are damping and height adjustible, and very well priced.
