Default are my brakes bad?

my brakes do not act like normal brakes.
i understand the GS never had great firm brake feel but even when off it does not stiffen like other cars.
almost since i was like 2yrs old, i noticed that when a car is off and the brake is pumped, it hardens up after a few pumps. mine does not do that.
i have had the car for a year now and the braking has been average and not too bad but i want to know if its just my car that is not doing this common thing which almost every car does.
is something wrong with mine?

I replaced all 4 Rotors with Brembos and High Perf Ceramic Pads.

Felt a little better....just a little.

Did a Full Brake Fluid Flush.

Now I can stop on a dime.

Seems like the fresh fluid and getting all the air out of the system really did the trick. I have a 99 GS...since you have a 98...you might give it a shot.

I swear I can stop like velcro now.

Make sure to do a full brake bleed. You want to get all of those air bubbles and water in the lines out of the brake system.
