Dont have any experience with sprint springs but I can tell you that if you get springs that drop you 2in's you stock struts aren't gunna last. When you upgrade one, the best thing to do is upgrade both.

To me, the stock factory struts are really good quality, and I have not been impressed with after-market struts. Was really looking for someone with first-hand experience with SPRINT 6700 springs and stock struts. Why would the stock struts not last?

Many threads on this.. There are some members on here with lowering springs and stock shocks (I’m one of them) but its not recommended. In addition, it makes more sense economically to have all the work done at once that way you don’t have to pay twice the labor. I have an Eibach/Stock set up on my SC and I am in a desperate need of shocks (keep in mind Eibachs give a conservative drop). They lasted me about 20k. If you know that your shocks are relatively new and don’t care then go for it. IMHO.. I would get the shocks as well springs based on my own experiences. Hope this helps..

basically boils down to...if you are getting upgraded proformance springs, you should upgrade to performance struts too. It's a rule of thumb for any lowering springs, not just your sprints

Sorry, but I'm not convinced after-market struts are any better than the OEM Lexus parts. I bought new OEM struts and SPRINT 6700 springs, and hope to find time to put them on this weekend. SPRINT factory tech support said the OEM struts will work fine.

OEM struts are not designed to be compressed 2" all day long. I would be surprised if you got 10k miles out of them. Yes OEM are high quality, but it does not mean they will be compatible with lowered springs. The sprint techs are right, they will work fine......for a short while..

I ran Sprint springs on my stock shocks for about a year before I switched my suspension out and I had no problems for that amount of time, but overall longevity I'm not sure about.

No, I just added the springs to the original struts which had about 61,000 miles on them already. I'm running 20x9 with 235/35 and 20x10.5 with 275/30on them. I thought the ride was great, but that is just my opinion.

seriously I am living proof...put Eibach proKit 1.5 drop..
installed with:
STOCK Lexus Shocks at 44K miles...2 struts were out in 3K miles replaced under Platinum Warranty. $0.00
NEW STOCK SHOCKs...lasted 6K miles refunded for free under Lexus Parts Warranty. $0.00
Lexus installed New Set of Sewel Lexus L-Tuned Shocks...lasted 10K-12K miles. Group buy at the time so no biggie. $160.00
NEW KYB GR2s Tire Rack....lasted 15K miles 3 shocks are currently dead...$375
Probably will get the Bilstein HD or Sports...this time around. I kept on being a cheapie.
keep in mind these Shocks I have gone through really are not meant for little to no drop at all. Valving rates and compression are trully meant for stock height. belive me . Thank G. I have a Lexus Service MGR that is in the family. And the Lextech for my car is an In-Law.
