My 98GS is nearing 118K miles. My alignment was so off that I ruined a perfectly good set of tires. I am having new tires put on now, and I will of course get an alignment, but I was wondering if I should look into getting new shocks/struts? Is there any way to tell if mine are on the way out? Besides the messed up tires, the car still drives very good. Since I'm nearing the 120K service I was just wondering if it's something I should add to my list of to do's.

Finally, what should an alignment cost me? My Lexus dealer is having a special, 4 wheel alignment for $110, plus tax. Doesn't sound that special to me, but what do I know...

Have them check all bushings and ball joints, otherwise the alignment will be a waste of money.
