Guys:
Must say that I am thrilled to finally be a member. After months of 'lurking' I did it.
Anyway, after countless readings on brakes and parts and such.. I have determined that for my 98 Gs4, the best bang for the buck brakes, are the Supra TT..
Is that right?
Questions: Whos go the best updated pricing on them, for stock 17s.
Q2: I am also looking for crossdrilled rotors and cross well but would like a comparison of the 2 and where to get the best bang from. Can I really notice a difference with cross drilled?
Any suggestions..
and BTW, this is for normal driving conditions, not like most of you mad racers out there. LOL

Steegul,
I am certainly not an expert on brakes (looking to upgrade in that area myself), but I'm pretty sure the Supra TT brakes are too big to fit behind stock 17 Lexus wheels without some sort of additional spacers on your wheels.
I'm sure some other folks will chip in with a more detailed explanation on how you can make it fit, but most members that have the Supra brakes have aftermarket wheels as well.

Dave are you sure???
I'm almost positive that they will fit behind the stock 17's but won't fit behind the 16's
If you don't get them to fit you might (JUST MIGHT) have to shave off the heat sinks that are on the caliper.

Ok, so with the stock 17s I have, the Supra TTs are good to go.
fingers crossed.
What years am I looking for and do they usually come with pads and such or just the rotors alone?
Any ideas on where to get them and what I can expect to pay?
Thanks all.

Steegull,
Check out this post for more details on the Supra kit < link >.
While Steve did not answer my question online about them fitting behind stock 17" wheels, he did respond in an email saying "that is correct, they will not fit".
I'd recommend you call or email him (gonzo4u@earthlink.net) to get his thoughts specifically on fitment behind your stock wheels before moving forward.
If you can just shave off the heat sinks as Joe suggests and they'll fit (with no adverse impact to performance), please post on your experience after you get them in! I'd definitely go for them if that really works.

ST,
welcome. the supra tt (94-on) breaks will not fit stock 17" unless you do one of the folowings:
1.get spacers (i think 15mm)
2.or shave the caliper from tt break kit.
for your driving habit, $700 for the pkg is more than enough. unless you have that extra $200 which you do not know what to do, then upgrade to either the cross-drilled rotors, or the slotted ones from steve. personally, i would just get the $700 pkg, the stock supra tt break is excellent already.
