Is there a SMOOTHER ride than L-Tuned?
I use my GS as a daily driver over our imperfect, frost heaved roads. Listening to the guys in CA talk, the L-tuned is a soft as stock, which I can say is not true. Perhaps over the butter-smooth CA roads, but the roads in the midwest aren't nearly as nice. Is there a spring shock combo that offers a better ride on the GS than the L-tuned? I still like the drop, but don't like the harshness. Do I have any options here?

Bilstein sports shocks will be firmer. You will still feel the bumps, but the rebound is somewhat stiffer-predicable and gives you more security. I have both L-tuned SS on one car, and Ltuned springs with Bilstein on the other.
Both on 19's and I like the ride with Bil. and Ltuned springs. Just my observations FYI-

You probaly weren't looking at the coilover route but being a new Tein CS owner and many others will say that to me the car rides just like stock pretty much even with the larger rims... I was very surprised how the car handled and drove on the highway.... Bilsteins are very good also.... alittle more firmer but not harsh at all.... I've been in Lexforlife's car with the Blsteins and it was amazing... I chose the Teins beacuse of the way i drive.... Many others may drive different thats why they go a different route on SS and coilovers Good Luck

Ok...a couple of votes for Tein CS. But you guys are from states whose roads aren't ravaged by snow and frost heaves. Anyone from the midwest comment on Tein CS? And how much should I expect to pay for Tein CS? Thanks!!

It has been awhile so I cannot remember the exact cost. It is not cheap but still better than buying a new set.
have you had yours rebuilt chris? how many miles on your cs?
