Default Brake Pads

Hi

The dealer installed new Brake Pads on my GS 430 about a year ago 20k miles ago, and i was told Saturday that ther are worn out and need to be replaced. Is this normal to go through brakes after 20k miles? now i am looking to purchase pads myself and not to go to the dealer since its 250 bux for a brake job, any sugestions what pads i should get, manufacture, and ceramic, compound, composite ? or what else is there. The rotors are OEM and am not looking to change them

thanks for all your help

Brake pads is something very personal ... there is no 'best' pad.

What are you looking for? Better braking? More fading resistance? Lesser dust?

You can also do a search, there is a lot of information on brake pads.
