Front suspension
I recently became an owner of a GS 400, 1999. I have driven BMW cars and Mercedes, but the 400 seems to be "loose" as far as front suspension goes. I am not a racer but I like 85-95 mph on open highways and I just do not feel as secure as I did in german cars.
Any cheap ideas?

the gs series is quite a car but does lack out of the box good road manners like the germans do , nothing some nice matched shocks and springs wont cure or better yet depending on your budjet a quality coilover and good set of sways and some mild to wild under bracing and dont forget you need at least 18in pref 19in for top notch handling..
i dont have coils but with everything else i have bracing and all i easily out handle most bimmers execpt the m5 and m3 of course but i can easily sit on their bumper

I have the steering ECU, front STB, and L-Tuned Suspension and it made a HUGE difference!
My father-In-law has a 540i and says he cannot believe my GS is the same car after the upgrades. He says it now feels better than his beemer.
