DIY Suspension Guys...Need help on Upper A-Arm
Hey Guys,
I was doing my suspension on my car and i ran into a problem, how do you get off the A arm that's connected to the Lower Arm for the rear suspension. The space only allows a wrench and not sockets so do i just unscrew it or do i have to do something with the ball joints. Thanks so much for your help.

very simple
you need to use a mini 4lb sledge , hammer will work but takes lots more effort and you dont have much room to swing so mini sledge is best
if you look at the joint you will see the sides front and back are somewhat squared , you need to knock on the square point after removing the nut at the end of the joint , the sledge works well with small swings for its the weight that makes contact and the joint will pop apart
whatever you do don not hit the bolt from underneath for you will smash the threads and you need to buy a new arm 300-500 for that piece
good luck

Awesome man! Thanks. Also, just curious, did you just use a 6-pt wrench to get the nut at the end of hte joint off, i tried using the 12-pt and it slipped and started to strip a tiny tiny bit of the nut but i'm still okay, i thi nk. Thanks once again!
