Can you link the google album here just as a URL (assume publicly viewable) and tell what picture you're trying to link?

Looks like the automated attach feature isn't working right to accept URLs, I'll report it

In the interim, you can do the manual way

Capture the image URL and paste it between

(img)https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/4m...-h1024-no(/img)

replacing the parens ( with brackets [

Please also post up the browser and device you are using.

My apologies for the trouble you've experienced with our photo uploader, Barbary. The issue seems to stem from the format that Google Photos users for its image URLs. Generally speaking, image URLs often contain the file type of the image. For example, if you're sharing a JPG from an image host like Photobucket, the URL will end in ".jpg". Google chose to format their URLs without these identifiers, which our image uploading tool needs to be adjusted for. We're working on this now and should have it ready to go soon.

In the meantime, as Dave mentioned, one way to circumvent the uploader is by placing your image URL directly in the text of your post and surrounding it with BBCode like so:

Code:
[IMG]URL here[/IMG]
This should allow for you to share your images with no issue until we have a proper uploader fix in place.

Thanks!

Hey Barbary,

I just wanted to let you know that our photo uploading tool now fully supports Google Photos. This means that going forward, you can share your pictures from Google by simply opening the image uploading tool in our post editor (via the button) and pasting the URL.

Thanks for your patience as we worked to resolve this!
