I was wondering why we don't have this on CL. I believe its another measure to help ensure the buyer.

Usually it consists of a screen name, and date handwritten

Something we can consider for our next rules revision but buyers can always request that of the seller themselves.

with the recent scams that members are facing, i think it'd help.

i use to be active a lot on driver, and they would make any item consist of something like this.

just a suggestion to help make the classifieds a safer place!

Well to be fair, I do not believe the recent scam you are referring to was from the CL classifieds... its from a low-post member who was selling services via PM who had been previously warned not to do that.

Like all internet sales places, we do have issues happen from time to time but we do our best to try to help. Folks need to follow some common sense rules though and look out for themselves in situations like this - can't only rely on a picture with a screen name and we do have a lot of other stuff in place already that takes a HUGE amount of time to moderate (vouch system, iTrader, post count restrictions, etc).
