What is normal for RPM's to run at going 70 mph? My car feels like it is running a little high. I had a new transmission put in within the last year and up until recently it has felt normal. Now, it feels like it isn't shifting into the highest gear therefore making the RPM's run around 2000 or 2200 at 70 mph?????

2100 is what I recall.
2600 for 85 mph (the speed limit!) on Texas SH-130.

Pretty much anything over 2000 rpm means my gas mileage suffers horribly.
