Battery Disconnect / ECU reset question
Hey guys,
I know there are already plenty of threads on battery disconnection and the settings that subsequently get reset (seat settings, average mpg, automatic windows, etc...), but I have been reading for hours and I can't seem to find an answer to this question:
When the battery gets disconnected and all of those other things get reset, does the "oil maintenance required" tracker get reset too? The battery disconnect didn't reset my trip odometers, and I assume the "oil maintenance required" reminder goes by mileage since its last manual reset, so should I assume that it was unaffected? Or does that get reset, too?
I have gotten too used to the convenience of having that automatic reminder, and i stupidly didn't write down my mileage when I last changed my oil (dont judge me, I swear I usually track those things). I feel like that reminder should be popping up on the dash any time now, since my last oil change was approximately 5k miles ago... I'm not sure if I should just wait for the reminder or assume that it has been reset and go ahead with the oil change.
Many thanks for your help with yet another of my ignorant queries.

Thanks so much guys. I just thought it would be annoying if my maintenance reminder was out of sync with my maintenance schedule. I am glad the consensus seems to be that disconnecting the battery doesnt cause a reset. I can always ask the lexus techs when I take my car in for that Takata recall work, anyway.
I really appreciate all of the input guys.

UPDATE:
Well, my oil maintenance required soon reminder just popped yesterday, so I guess that answers things. For future reference / anyone else who was wondering, disconnecting the battery does NOT reset the maintenance reminder.

It would be useless if it reset on power loss.
