Default Where to get my replacement FOB key cut?

I bought a replacement FOB key off of ebay, and I know how to program the digital part to my car (
) But where can I get the key cut to match my current key? I know the dealer will do it but I don't want to pay that much.

I just used these guys last night http://stores.ebay.com/1010keys/

...recommended by another member in a thread I started to get a bead on FCC IDs, programming fobs and keys, etc.

Think I paid $48 for the key with fob for my '00, sent them a pic via text, and they responded back within the hour and shipped this morning. It's close so we'll see how it fares when it comes in. Apparently comes with instructions!

I'd call around the local locksmiths with good Yelp reviews then. As long as they cut "laser keys," they should be significantly cheaper than the dealer...mine charges $36 each.

Thanks for posting my video.
I got those keys cut at the Lexus dealership for $20.

They are not laser keys. They're simply cut by tracing the original master key.

Ah, good to know. I just call them that because that's what all my local locksmiths call the ones with the pattern on the inside of the key

My dealer wants $225 for a new cut key without programming. To program it is another $68. I'm not going to pay $300 for a second key. What a rip off.....

Yeah that's ridiculous. My dealer wants $36 to cut one of these, but an hour of shop time ($88) to program.

Oh, I got the key in from 1010keys. Worked perfectly, programmed perfectly. They gave me the key code as well, for future reference.

I bought the key on eBay, cut it at my local dealership for $26, but I haven't been able to successfully program it. I have a 2003 Lexus es300 Does anyone have the program sequence for this model car? I have tried a few and failed.

Wait, according to 1010 they need the code to cut the key. How can they give you the code if they need the code?

They can generate the code if you don't have it. You send them a pic of the key profile and they figure it out from there.
