2017 adaptive suspension. Is it worth it?
I been reading how the 2016's are a bit stiff and now the 2017's come with the adaptive suspension. My dealer is selling a 2016 for about 4k less than a 2017 and was wondering if the adaptive suspension is really worth the extra cash? Would like to hear your thoughts, especially from those who had experience with the standard GS's with the adaptive suspension.

Depends: Food for Thought...I dropped my GS-F with RS-R Springs and it drivings/ridings fine under normal driving. However, under hills/sloops under acceleration the front of my car takes to long to settle/the nose of the car dives/to much rebound. The spring rates are to soft for my driving style; therefore, this will not will for me. That's my negative experience with these springs from my personal driving. However, I'm accustomed to driving a car with Coilovers with Spring rates at (F:16 / R:14) Granted my GS-F won't be that extreme but it will be near that same range.

The GS F rear feels sloppy with the stock springs compared to my IS F. Lowering would only make it worse IMHO, but what would I know? Not a fan of the whole rear suspension on these cars at all.

interesting... most reviews that i've read state that the GS F is great at handling.

Most reviewers haven't driven my IS F. It's a little better than some.

I just picked up my 2016 GSF and for 20K off sticker. On the 2017 model the dealer was saying full sticker so for 20K difference it wasn't even worth the time to go test drive the 2017. I loved the 2016 already, and if I had test driven the 17 and loved even more, it it would put the car out of my price range. Every car I have ever owned has been lowered so the ride quality wasn't too bad anyways.
If the difference was a full magnetic ride control system like the CTS-V has then maybe it would have been worth it. Who knows, overall I'm very happy so far.
