VSC Light On, CEL On (Codes P0300 and P0301) NEED HELP!!!!
07 is250 90,000 miles
This morning I started my car and noticed a shudder. VSC light came up along with CEL. I looked up the codes and they are p0300 and p0301. I read a few threads on here tagged with the codes, some say its carbon buildup and others say gas cap. I called the dealership and they said since my warranty expired a few months ago so if it is carbon buildup they will not cover it. I reset the light and funny thing is I drove my car and it runs perfectly fine. I have been adding Redline SP-1 cleaner every 3000 miles to prevent carbon buildup. So i guess my questions are.... have any of you guys ran into this problem? and if so, if the dealership didn't cover it, how did you fix this situation? any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

You can ignore the ones that said gas cap, a bad gas cap gives evaporative emissions codes, not misfires. Carbon buildup is a possibility, despite your use of a fuel system additive.

I had my self VSC Light on and off when car running/Driving , So I consult with Showroom to find out what was wrong after they seen one switch need to replaceable that's was reason but now ok.
Under-Accelerator paddle ; one switch connected with computer transmission signal so some time its got disconnected so car un-stabilize then system generated error b" VSC " , But when you replace this then all will be fine. remember: GAs Lid must be checks before you checking others thing in your car for VSC, because It seal is not normal to contain well pressure.
