Should the rear shock bolt have some play?
I'm changing my rear shocks (one blew), and with the new shocks (KYB 551132), the bolt seems to be loose on the shock (the hole is bigger than the bolt). Should it have some play, or is the shock wrong? (this is my first shock job).
(sorry to double post this [another thread about removing the bolt], but I want to get my car back together as soon as possible).

There should not be any play in the shock mounting parts. Is it the same on both of the new shocks? You may have gotten the wrong shocks. It happened to me. I ordered KYBs for my car and the part number on the box was correct but the shock inside was not that part number. Get a caliper and measure the new and old shock mounting points.
