Default Rear Shocks Help

I am trying to replace my rear shocks and can not seem to remove the bolt (my first shock job). I got the nut off (took some time and some heat), but can not pull the bolt through the arm. It's through one side, but won't move past the shock. It spins ok, and I have tried hammering from one side, and prying from the other, but to no avail. Any thoughts on things to try would be helpful. (I'm in the driveway, so don't have a lot of room).

Try using a jack to hold the brake system so the weight doesn't sit on the bolt that you're trying to take out. Apply some penetration fluid and try your best. Mine was stuck when I replaced it due to rust so I know it can get frustrating lol.

Factory shocks/springs? If so, there's probably a good amount of downward force being put on that bolt from the spring/shock. Bolt is being held up in the hole by the force; so figure out how to counter it. I'd suggest using a pry bar under the shock to lift it slightly while pulling/pushing the bolt out.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. What a pain in the butt. Not sure what was holding it in, but finally got it. I tried putting a jack under the arm to relieve pressure before this post, but no help. I was able to get the pry bar under shock and was able to see it wiggle a bit in the hole, but it still didn't want to move.. I finally got it by having someone use a pry bar on the bolt while I put the impact wrench on it. Hopefully I didn't mess up the bolt. Again, thanks for the suggestions.

Question on the bolt. It seems to fit a little loose on the new shocks (KYB 551132). On the old shock, one side of the hole is a little loose, the other really tight (which is why I probably couldn't get it out). Is it supposed to have a little play? If not, what size is it so I can try to get a new one.
