Nice key/remote replacement product...
I was looking for some switches for my Firebird project when I came across this other pair of products that are well suited to our cars, a "switchblade" key and remote assembly similar to those used on late-model Audi/Porsche/VW cars.
Flip Key Remote
Key Blank
They're database didn't go back to a 1992 Lexus so this control module "may" be needed to make it work.
This is a pretty sweet set-up with 8 separate remote functions and a lifetime warranty. I know what I'm getting for Christmas!!!

I'd like to get updates and hear from any others that may have done this already.
Also, where did you see their database of cars, I have a 96 and would like to see if it is on there.

Sorry for bumping an old *** thread but has anyone done this upgrade? There's a guy on ebay that cuts the key for you and sends it out, you just program it yourself, I just don't know about the quality of the materials and if it would work with the deep ignition on the SC's and if the added distance between the transponder and the immobilizer would mess something up.

Actually good quality & was more than expected :)
I ordered one from them a few weeks ago for my 99 SC. cost me about $54 including insurance . My local Stealer wanted to charge me about $300 for the key & programming.
I tried the program/instructions they included but I couldnt get it to work . So I tried the program instruction I found online & I was able to program the key but not the remote. but hey at least I have a 2nd key to start the car with
