Did I read this right... No LSD? WTFOMGSOMEONENEUTEREDTEHLEXUSSSS! Does this mean the car will be equipped with the same pre-torque differential?
Anyone who's wishing for a 6-speed manual is just out of touch. While it's fun to row your own gears, most autos outperform manual counterparts on every platform. The only downside to a torque converter / hydraulics-based automatic is the lack of a firm mechanical connection between engine and drive wheels which aids driver control, smooth power delivery and engine-braking. However, Lexus has addressed most of these concerns with the 8-speed auto, locking the already-loose torque converter after the 1-2 upshift, mimicking an SMG. In turn, the car will perform more consistently while damping driveline shock that the owner can induce with a clutch.
Believe me, most times I wish my CTS-V had an auto. I'm in constant fear of grenading another differential... and I can forget about trying to cut 1.8 60-fts.
Aside from the retarded stacked tips and "F" emblem, my nomination goes to the white/silver/black carbon-fiber interior trim. It doesn't even look good in the Audi S6.
I'm looking forward to seeing the IS-F, just to see who's buying it and how well they run.

There's only 4 things I would change about the IS-F:
1) Differentiate the interior a bit more over the standard IS350.
2) Dump the weird looking hood bulge(hint: take a look at the new M3, shown today at the Geneva show to see a hood bulge done right).
3) Add a 6-speed manual transmission.
4) Ditch the cheesy body kit.

[quote=Mr Johnson;2434043]Remove the silly stacked quad exhausts and provide black chrome for the grille surrounds, ......
Agree about the ugly and silly quad exhaust tips; what are they thinking?
Grille surrounds need to be body colored, assuming they come in more than the show car blue.
Does anyone know if the F will really be a limited production run? My guess is that the Lexus will watch sales to decide, and Lexus dealers will say it is a limited run to insure MSRP selling price.

Hmmm, while there are some things about the ISF I would like to change...
If I had the power to...I would most definitely change:
The price =) Make it $1 for me. I'll take all of it's imperfections =P

its going to have some torque converter locking mechanism from 2nd to 8th gear (8th gear geez i can't believe that exists) but I have no idea if it has LSD, and if they are even close to being solutions to similar problems.
I think the only thing wrong with the new IS-F is that I don't have one yet!

And to answer the questions about the LSD...it will not have a mechanical one.

EV ftw!!!
These are the following things I would change:
1. Wider wheels at the rear especially.
2. CF hood and front fenders
3. LSD
4. Some wild color choices like orange and lime green (similar to the Lambo colors).
5. Saddle leather interior

My Christmas wish list:
1) Smaller grill logo.
2) Moonroof delete option.
3) A new, elegant, eye-catching metallic red that would be the hallmark of the F class.
4) Carbon fiber roof, hood, front fenders and air duct/side skirt panels. I will pay extra.

6 speed manual transmission, & a double-clutch DSG type as an option. Change the quad exhaust in the rear, also a more elegant but still aggressive looking front bumper.

Do you know if it is the same 8 speed from the LS460? If so, they need to speed up the shifting quite a bit. That is my one complaint about my LS. I hit the gas, the car then thinks about it, and then goes like a bat out of hell.
I would rather row my own gears if it is not a fast shifting auto. Autos are the best for drag, but not for a road course. SMG type of trannies offer the best of both worlds, but I have 2 different SMG cars and got tired of both pretty quick.
