Default Factory body kit installed (warning - lots of pics)

I was one click of the mouse away from ordering the factory kit online, but I decided to first give my local connection a call to see if I can get a better deal.

The kit was ordered on Tuesday and arrived at the shop on Friday morning. I was stoked since I was initially told it would take 4-6 weeks for the kit to arrive. My price - $1025 out the door.

There was an earlier post on another install here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hlight=ldynred
so I will only focus on stuff that people ask about the most.

I have never installed spoilers before so this was a new experience for me too.
The instruction that came with the kit is very precise so no need to repeat it here.

The front lip should have taken me less than 2 hours to complete. But I spent more time on it to make sure that there was no noticeable gap between the lip and the bumper in the areas just below the fogs. I think I did okay. I did not stop adjusting until no light could pass thru the gap.
Front - Before

Front - After

Note, I have not installed the rear lip yet.
Before

After

The side skirts were easy to install. The first one took me about 45 minutes, the the next one was only 15 minute. Most people want to know the difference between the stock sides and the kit ones, so here they are.
Stock width:

Kit sides

And here's the installed pics:
Stock

Kit sides

Finally the rear lip. The install took me about 2 hours. You can see from this picture that the rear doesn't even do anything to make the car look lower. In fact, the front lip and sides are as low (or high) as the stock pieces they replace.

And finally, installed

Hey lexus27, are those chrome ISP wheels on your car? They look nice How much extra did the dealer charge you for them?

Looks nice.........

But I don't think I will do it to my car when I get it. There's just not enough difference betweeen OE and the kit. To me, it doesn't justify the $1k price tag.

Thanks for the execellent writeup.

And no, I can't resist -- your rear lip looks like a real Mickey Mouse installation.

Just what i've been looking for. Those before and after pictures. I'm getting my front lips this Thursday for $328. Can't wait to put them on. It'll be nice if the kit make the car look a lil lower than stock though. Very nice job bro.

At 12 AM last night and with a saw in my hands, I was thinking what the hell an I doing cutting a brand new bumper.

The ISPs are just painted bright silver. They were a present for xmas from the wifey. She paid too much since the dealer also charged premium labor to install them. I wish I knew before hand, but it was a surprise. They charge $1800 at the dealership. Look online and you'll get it for much less. Even ebay has it for $1000.
Thanks for the execellent writeup.

When I grabbed that blanket, I knew somebody would say something about it.

Honestly, the front lip is the only piece that truly stands out. I almost did not install the rear lip after the front and sides since I thought it looked good enough. But I already had it so no point in wasting it. The sides are really hard to see when installed since they look like stock, just wider. If it wasn't for me getting good money on my stock rims I sold on ebay, I would have also gone for just the front lip.
