Default Complimentary Service with Gas Fill Up.

Went for my 10k(car has 5200miles) complimentary service today and was pleasantly surprised they filled up the tank when I picked up the car. I went in with 1/4 tank and did a double take and had to think for a couple minutes to realized they’ve filled up the tank.
With the current gas prices, this is much appreciated.

Didn't happen to be Northborough, MA, did it? Mine will be in there next week.

Yes, that’s where I bought mine and service my LC and LS. Although we bought our RX there, the wife likes to bring it to Manchester NH because it’s a little closer and easier to get to. 495 can be unpredictable sometimes.

I'm just as confused as you are...gas is over $5/gl atm.....the financials of it don't make sense for a simple scheduled service...

Quite different from a routine service but, during the Takata airbag recall, I remember reading on this forum that some people were getting a full tank of gas.
I did not, so I assume that was dealer specific.

No sir. I wasn’t hallucinating. It is on the worksheet.
I had the service and the camera recall done.
Service advisor put a big *** sign no wash and vac on the dash. lol.
The SUBL GAS is on a separate item than the complimentary service so I assume the dealer did it out of courtesy.

for a second, I thought they had reset the fuel meter when I drove off.

Yeah. No kidding. Between the two V8 on my LS and LC, it’s like a car payment every month. lol Both run on premium and 22gal tank.

There's your answer.

Recall services do usually result in something added for the convenience like a full tank of gas.

I would generally agree but:
My servicing dealer does not charge me for seasonal wheel and tire swaps
They even give me a loaner and wash the car
Invoice is always $0
For today's visit, I let them know my battery may be on the way out (I had to jump the car after it sat for a month)
They confirmed the battery was failing.
When it came time to pay, the advisor had applied some service coupon and the cost was knocked down to $330 including taxes and shop fees

I’ve owned 6-7 Lexus over the course of 15years and went through many recalls. I never remember a time they fill the gas tank other than the time I bought the vehicle.

My dealer gassed mine up when I had in for the PCS sensor replacement. I figured it was the least they could do for a $1200 bill, lol.

Most dealerships that have there own gas pumps use regular gas only.

Correct--but I also HIGHLY doubt a Lexus dealer would have regular gas only since most Lexus vehicles recommend Premium.
