My GPS went out last year (IIRC) and the only way to get it back was to physically remove and restore power to the radio (I described in a thread somewhere here that I now power the radio from a relay on the ignition circuit, so the radio gets physical power removed on shutdown and restored on start up).
When your GPS is not working, and the car is running, try pulling the radio fuse, and then plug it back in. Wait about 5 minutes for the radio to restart and acquire GPS signals, to see if you now have accurate map data.

question I have an 08 Lexus is250 with 120000 miles when I’m driving and let of the gas the idle hangs around 1200 rpms then doesn’t downshift u til I slow down. My car rumble aometimes when it’s going through the gears. Is it the torque converter or do you think the transmission oil just needs to be changed a few times a drain and fill. I bought the car used like a month ago.
