SC430 - VSC and Engine Lights on - Should I purchase?

Huge red flag.
Most def have the codes read (for free) at Autozone... then do some research on them.
It could be a minor issue like I had with a hose disconnected, or it could be a huge $3,000 repair... DO NOT BUY until you have a reputable Lexus/Toyota mechanic look at it... and make sure he doesn't have "skin in the game", as in being truthful with you

Just read in another article about this issue, and how it may relate to my symptoms in a 2003, caused maybe by a aged seal on the gas cap. I spent a few bucks on an OBDIII scanner and the Carista app. I drive the SC infrequently and intend to check the o-ring to see if it's the culprit. The Carista customization features do not work on pre-(i Believe) 2006 models, but otherwise a great tool.
