Oil on driveway
I have what I thought was an oil leak as I noticed some oil drippings in the garage virtually everyday. The last time I had the oil changed, I asked the Tech to take a look and see if he could tell where the drip was coming from. He told me he saw no evidence of a leak, however, there continues to be oil appearing on the garage floor. Last week I took the car to the Lexus dealership in Smyrna, GA for some brake work and an alignment, and told them about the "leak" and asked them to take a look for me to see what is going on. They told me they found no evidence of a leak.
Fact is, oil is coming out of the car, slowly, but surely and two times I was told by those that had the car lifted that they can find no evidence. I assumed the dealership would find it, but no. Any ideas on what is going on?

Are you sure it's motor oil and not say power steering fluid? My rack has a slow leak near the boot on the right side and I find a few drips. I'm waiting on the Lucas PS stop leak to kick in...

Does the oil drain plug have a washer?

You certainly do not need to use a washer but it may leak. I am pretty certain all Toyota autos use a washer on the oil drain plug.
Another place that will leak oil are the valve covers, it is a quick 10min "fix". The cover bolts only need about 10ft/lbs on them. Just look for oil and if you see it, give the cover bolts a good one half turn. They will not feel very tight but that is okay. Over tighten and you will distort the gasket.

Crankshaft front seal can give annoying but hard to find oil leaks. Easy to check, but would advise changing timing belt when you remove the pulley to access the seal. Wise owners always replace this come timing belt change time. Wiser owners change their timing belt long before it's due, just to be sure it's all going ok under those covers for the last 10 years or so....
