Can you post the parts that you purchased?

I manually opened the roof, and cycled manually opening and closing of package tray several times. It seated flat, closed the roof, and removed the battery to clear any codes.

Went to open the roof and everything worked as usual. was able to cycle it twice before the package tray refused to open.

So i am going to order both package tray limit switches and the electric motor. Solution!

I advise you to manually cycle the top open and close before taking it to the dealer. my guess is you as well have mixed signals to the ECU and your simply being locked out. Hope this helps and best of luck..

Check the valet button in the glove compartment. The valet button disables the interior trunk button and the top button.

Yah that's one of the first things I've checked. I might try to reset my ecu. I read in a different forum that you have to disconnect the battery for an 1hr to reset the rooftop? Never heard of that before but might try it. Crossing fingers

hey bro...i had the same problem as you just right now.....the guy 2002430SC right under this comment had the solution the whole time...... i opened my glove box....hit the trunk button open a few times......then put the key in the ignition, press the close button and everything worked normal....i never disconnected batteries or any of that stuff.....

i just read your comments, other replies until i got to 2002430SC......it was easy.... 1) glove box 2) hit the button a few times, who cares how many 3) key in car, 4) press open/close....

you'll get full function of your hardtop and indicator lights will come on..

i had the same exact problem as you.....except mine was down when it happened and I needed to close it.

I am so glad to see new blood that appreates a fine automobile. And glad you find the forum useful. Lastly, this is not meant as critsm at all because I have made the same mistake. But the post you were looking at is several years old. Thats one of the beauties of this forum. There is information here going back to year one. Keep reading. It could take awhile to get through them all. I got about halfway before I gave up. But I picked up a ton of information along the way.
