Default 2001-2005 Top 10?

The 2001-2005 SC430 was ranked #8 out of the Top 10 Worst cars of all time

Having recently bought a Lexus LS430 about a year ago this really surprised me as I believe Lexus is the best vehicle I've ever owned.

That's why the car has great resale value. That's why these cars sell well. In the last month on autotrader within 50 miles of me. the sc430 inventory has been cut in half from sales. Lol, they said bad reliability in the video. Top gear is just a bunch of stupid stuff for ratings. British like tabloid material even more than here in the USA.

When I first bought my 2005 sc430 in nov of 2004. It was rated number 1 by many . Including powers . I have had no issue with this cars and I have read the reports and there wrong they don't understand the car.

Other previous articles have rated it as one of the most reliable cars in its genre.

Don't think they're talking about reliability. More about drivability as its not really a driver's car without some modifications to suspension, throttle response and transmission shifting.
My SC300 is much more fun to drive handling and response wise. Wish it had another 100 horsepower.
The only thing the 430 does really well is lower and raise its top and is very reliable if properly maintained.

That article is over 10 years and was about handling (run flats?) and styling. Handling changes dramatically with a decent set of non-run flats and styling is a matter of personal choice. 8 years and two SCs and I'm still in love with this car. My 02 was a great car, but I was in a position to get a 10 and have no regrets. I actually thought about keeping both SCs, but I found myself always driving the '10 and got a good price for my 02. The article was BS. It was pretty well known how run flats had a effect on handling!

I am not the type to take offense so my opinion isn't biased. Been around way too many luxury cars and
being a European/German car fan.. I own an SC because of its styling, its way too unique. If that was not true it would not be in my garage.

lol i really do believe people would have to be seriously delusional to think the SC is a bad car. Its actually a very beautiful car and there is nothing that looks like it along with its build quality, which explains the weight.

I would however agree that the handling isn't great but that can be fixed with some mods. BUT then again its not a race car at all, its a luxury cruiser.

its actually insane how many heads my SC turns, and how many compliments i get. not a lie, i actually feel nervous leaving it places now.

That decade old article gets brought up every few years. Here's the thing. The SC is not a sports car, although with proper mods it can be changed into one, more or less. The SC is a small luxo-cruiser. In that category, it is unmatched.
