Drivers side headlight on-off-on

Drivers side headlight on-off-on
I have a 2007 and lately the driver’s side headlight goes out sometimes when I’m driving. If I turn the lights off, and then back on, it will light up again and stay lit. Sometimes it will work for weeks and then all of a sudden it will go out. So I’m thinking of replacing the bulb(s) and see if that helps. Anyone else experience this issue? I looked through the forum but I didn’t see any “posts” on this.
Are the headlight bulbs in the 2007 SC regular light bulbs that I can purchase at a local automotive store?
Thank you,

They are HID's. Need to do more searching. More than simply unplugging and plugging bulbs.

another member just asked this same question. It sounds like it is your light bulb. search "replacing headlight bulb", I wound up droping the bumper a little to remove the headlight housing. From what i remember one side could be done without removing it but the other side did not have room for a hand to go in and twist the bulb out. do your homework and search the threads before you start the project so you understand what you are getting into. Good luck.

I did find more info on this on this in the “general” forum on the home page. I also read that because our SC is a 2007 I may not have to remove the bumper because the lights are mounted higher? Can anyone confirm this?
I’m thinking of buying the bulbs on Amazon and having the local Toyota dealer do the work.
Thanks

UPDATE
I bought MTEC 6000K D4S D4C Xenon HID Bulbs $95.00 (eday) and had the local toyota dealership put the in. I also had them do the high beam, turn signal, fog lights and side markers. They charged me $150.00 labor and bulbs.
The MTEC 6000K D4S D4C Xenon HID Bulbs have 4-metal supports holding the bulb, this help steady the bulb.
so far so good
