Very nice!!!! By the looks of the wheels and grill it's a XK8, not an XKR right? Very nice and rare to find the coupe. Great colors too. 18's or 19's? I've always wanted a 2007+ XKR red on black convertible or red on tan with the tan top. So hard to find in the XKR in a vert in that color though.

My buddy has a XK8 coupe in the last series (97-2004?) and put the XKR grill and wheels on his and it looks sweet. Those 19" 3 piece XKR wheels are bad.

scdroptop,
thanks SCdrop. your correct, its an 08' XK rollin on "twinkies" haha. Nearly pulled the trigger on a 10'XKR but then figured I'd be getting more tickets then i could have taken off! haha besides, i bought it for more of a looks kinda car. anyhow, In a couple of yrs i think i may rid myself of the Jag & Beamer and get myself a true sports car...perhaps an Aston or Maserati. of course Ill be keeping the Lex for the great South Tex nights.

after i get her cleaned up, Ill snap a few more pics, drove her from houston 2 Home & the 5hr drive really got her covered in crap. besides all next week is time for polish/wax, tint, resonator delete & anything else i see fit to perfect her.

looks like the xkr, has the exact same package (rims, fender louvers etc...) minus the xkr maintenance & fun of course. but my time will come. as soon as my insurance prems go lower & rid myself of a couple of cars. haha Im picking up a real sports ride.

Congrat's, great find. Nice color! I was looking at the XK8 and did a little research and found they had some trouble with the timing chain tensioners and guides, the originals had a tendencey for the guides to break then snap the chain and when that happens look out, major dollars, bent valve and all. I would hate to see you sitting on the side of the road with your hood up on such a beautiful car!! I reccomend you check and see if the tensioners have been done or if it is a newer model it should have come with the upgraded ones from the factory. Better to be safe than sorry. Other that that they are great cars and you will be cruis'in in style now!!

Enjoy!!
